How many gph for powerheads should I have in a 75 gallon tank. I was hearing about 1500 gph for a 75 gallon tank. I purchased two Koralia powerheads that have a 850 gph. I did have to send them back because they wouldn't start back up after being shutdown. I should be getting my replacements next week.

It depends on what you have in the tank. For soft corals and LPS, the 2 Koralia 3's you have will be fine. If you want to keep SPS corals, you can easily double that.

i have 1 of theoes powerheads and after it has run for a week or two and i shut it off it has to be cleaned well b4 it will start back up

I have 5 in my tank. I got them when they just came out a few years ago. I never had any start up problem with mine.
