heater questions

i have a heater that i got from a friend, it doesnt have a temperature thing so i dont know how warm each setting makes it, it has a turn dial at the top and it starts at low and goes to high with different notches in between (about 20) anyone have any ideas as to what i should set it to?

Hi Newbneedshelp,
Heaters can be a pain in the butt to set when you only have a high and low setting. What might be a good idea is to set it about half way, then when the indicater light goes out to tell you the heater has gone off then take a temp reading. Then if it needs to go up or down you can move it one notch at a time.
