Help with a canister filter.

I've just bought an aqua one cf2400 canister filter and put it all together. However, now I can't get the power head to come off again! Is there some trick to getting canister filters to disconnect or is it just a matter of forcing it? I don't want to do something wrong and break my brand new filter I'd appreciate any advice.

my fluval does the same thing. It seems there is a good seal and it takes a bit of pressure and patience to break the seal.

Mine is a fluval also and I keep pulling up from different sides until it comes off.
