my overflow doesnt really trickle over the thing, watch video if you can

i'm sure water is still flowing through it, if you want you could always just place it over the fins.

if you use a HOB its kind of the same you'd look at its design and think the top would be the only filter but in actuallity the whole pad collects particals.

i'd say leave it a week and see how much it collects in a week and it it doesn't collect alot then move it
