HOB 55 gal filter(s) best choice.

I may have made a fatal mistake building my stand. Built it to sit flush against the wall and forgot to allocate space for the in/out lines for the canister filter unless I make some mods...
Whats the best HOB filter for the 55 gal.
If I am able to modify the stand, dos it matter if the inlet/outlet are on the same side or does tank set up like plants, rocks etc dictate where the inlet tube is located?

It shouldn't matter what side the tubes are on same side or not.
Sorry I don't know too much about HOB filters.

Where you place the tubes for a cannister filter isn't going to matter, thats just for looks. I'm pretty sure all HOB filters need about the same space, 3-4". If moving the tank is a problem then a cannister might be your best option.

An AC110 would be my HOB choice for a 55g. I've got one on my 40B and it does an awesome job.
