After getting a few diseased fish I'm thinking about getting a 5-10L tank just for quarantining at most 3 platy/molly sized fish before adding them to the main tank. Also after recently adding 2 persistently mating mollies it would be handy to have an extra tank for fry (I've read all the stuff about toughening them up by leaving them in the main tank but I've lost quite a few that way so I'm opting for another tank). Obviously I don't want to have a whole other tank running the whole time just in case though, so any suggestions of how I could set up a suitable hospital tank without waiting weeks for it to cycle? Thanks for your help :D

I started mine by taking a used filter pad from my existing tank and just placed it in the bottom of my QT tank , the pad was loaded with good bacteria , way too easy.
Wish I had done that with my main tank instead of waiting weeks.
