I heard somewhere that the harder your tap water is, the more often you'll have to change your filters. Since the tap water where I live is like liquid rock, I'm a little apprehensive about getting an ro system.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks

I change it when the outflow side's TDS reach 010, they run at 001-003 normally. My tap isnt quite liquid rock but 8.8 is close enough.

they recommend every 12 months their good for about 3000 gallons but if you have a tds meter like whitedevil said once the tds starts raising then you know its getting close to time to change out the filters
