How To Set Digital Timer

I read the instructions, but I am confused. Does anyone have one of these that can explain it to me?

I am confused now based on what fiddling I have done with the thing. I think that I am only setting day timers and that everything else is night. Is that right?

I have one and the night outlets are only on when the daytime outlets are off. So whenever you program your daytime lights to come on then the night time outlets automatically go off, so you can not have your actinics come on and go off separately from you other lights. Only thing I have on my night lights are my lunar lights. Hope this helps.
