Hi Guys
I ordered a Bubble Blaster HY-2000s to replace the cruddy sicce pump on my ext-160, here are a few pics of the new pump installed for those who are interested. The new pump is suppose to double the performance of the skimmer. I'm going to install it in the sump tomorrow.

Decided to put it in tonight, this is after 5 minutes with valve fully open in 6.5 inches of water, I think I need to raise it so it's sitting in 5 to 5.5 inches. That pump is a beast.

to replace the cruddy sicce pump
1st time I ever heard someone call a Sicce pump cruddy. Most rave about those pumps.

Hmmmm....they run best in about 8" of water.

The sicce pump IMO is a little to finicky and noisy for my liking, and doesn't take any additional loading very well and develops startup issues over time. The Bubble Blaster is a thing of beauty, no startup issues and makes massive amounts of very fine bubbles, what took a week and half with the sicce the BB generated the same results in 5 minutes of operation and is removing more from the tank than the sicce did.

You're right about the the depth with the stock PW, Below are my findings to date after fiddling around with different combinations of wheels.

With Sicce

Stock PW=8"
PPW=6-6.5"
MW=6"

With Bubble Blaster

Stock PW=5-6"
PPW=doesn't exist yet
MW=Haven't attempted yet.

After being able to close the valve some this morning, this is what it's producing.
