yes you may need a universal hose connecter it looks like to cone's that are attached to each other then you just cut off the endswhere the hose will fit
unless the hose's are the same diameter cost me3 bucks.

make sure you change the filter media after your finished it will be very dirty. i left the bio in there and did nothing to it did not cleant it. just replaced the floss pads.

oh i did ad more pads before doing it so as to trap as much junk as possible
worked like a champ.

add me to your review of happy cascade owners it a very good filter very versitle
and what a pleasure to clean no spill no mess, and no more wire to look at from the hang on whispers I had.
