kent aquarium cleaners

has anyone ever used these on their tanks? i have one of the mag cleaners but that cant get off all of it so for the harder stuff i use a razor blade now. i seen that they have a red one and a yellow one. the yellow one is metal and the red one is plastic. has anyone ever used the red ones? do they clean just as well as the metal ones and do the metal ones actually scratch glass?

I'd think the reds would work like a razor blade would.. as long as you dont orient the blade in a way that its gunna scratch the glass, you should be fine..

I think the metal would be more effective, since the edge is finer.

ya thats what i thought, i do well in the razor blade but its hard id rather get one with a handle

I love the Kents, and they won't rust (the Hagen ones can rust if the protective coating on the shaft gets nicked), as they have carbon shafts....I use the blade and it works beautifully.
