So I have set up a 40B with a 20 gallon sump underneath using a custom PVC pipe setup for the overflow and a standard pump and hose forms return. It's been running fine for about a year and a half now, but today I noticed water gathered on the mat under the tank. Turns out I have a small leak running out from the washer where pipe runs into the back of my tank. I applied Teflon tape to the threads and it stopped the top leak, but I'm still getting a slow leak from the base of the washer. I'm not sure what I could do to seal up that leak. The washer is pretty much on that pipe permanently since I sealed all the PVC connections closed when I set up th tank initially. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
