Hello Everyone,
I am a little stuck on what size of LED strip to get for my 46 Gal tank (Dimensions: 38.5"L x 14.8"W x 18.5"H). The reason I am stuck is because I am currently building a hood for my tank which I am planning on hanging the led strip inside of it so I have a bit of room to play around with the height of the light off the water and I am not constricted to the length of the tank as a result of hanging the light. The light that I have been looking at is the Finnex FugeRay Planted+ but am stuck at what size is necessary for both spread of light and PAR rating for a low-mid light planted aquarium.

Any help would be appreciated!

Get a 36" planted plus, should work well for your setup.
