Lid question

I have a round front tank with a matching lid. I have a problem with the lid. The flexible strip connecting the two sections has cracked. Does anyone have a solution for me?

Duct tape, electrical tape, brush resin onto it.

Can you buy replacement strips anywhere? Maybe from the hardware store?
