I need to replace my white light.

65 watt, power compact, square pin.

Now, the tank is a reef, no SPSs, clams, nothing really high light.

Do I want the straight 10k, or the dual daylight (10k/6500)?

No problem. You`ll get some good answers here. The only place I have PC`s is over my fuge so I cant help you much. Sorry.

A single 65w bulb is not very much light. You won't be able to keep any sps, or clams or many lps. You need low light corals.

6500k is on the yellow side (like our sun), while 10k is white. Above 10k tends toward the blue side.

So it depends on what look you like in your tank.

I have more than just that 65watt. that is just the light I need to replace (having to replace the ballast for it as well) the ballast blew and took the light with it...I just dont know if I should go with a 10k/6500, or go with just a straight 10k.
