lighting

Hi,
Quick question have a new tank coming 2ft cube looking at getting T5 how many will i need and as they are so thin would i be better of buying in lots instead of having the all in one for example 2 lots of 2 or 2 lots of four so the light spreads out better if you get what i mean

thanks in advance

For a 2' tank you could get away with 4 bulbs total over the tank. If you are wanting to stick with soft corals only they don't need as much light. The lighting you need depends on the kinds of corals you want to keep and how deep you intend to keep them in the tank. If this is a very deep cube then the T5s may not get enough light to the bottom of the tank to support many corals.
