If a fixtures puts out 54 watts of light but the box says its the equivalent of 200 watts would it be considered a 200watt or 54 watt fixture?

what kind of bulbs? I've never seen a 54w bulb with the equivalent of anything other than 54w. The only 54w bulb I've seen is T5HO, which would be 54w....

Also, moved to General Hardware/Equipment Discussion

No i meant for a fixture. Like it might say "uses only 54 watts but has the equivalent output of 216 watts"

CFL bulbs often have listings like that, just go by the actual wattage and not the 'equivalent' wattage.
