Hi just getting into SW. Have everything set up, just waiting for my tank to cycle its only been a week  . I'm going fowlr, my tank is 55gal.
My question is will this light http://www.aquariumguys.com/48orbitsunpaq.html be ok for my setup or should I go with T5? I would like to add some Coral down the road just not sure what kind yet. If T5 would be better, could you please explain why. Also I may want to add an Anemone later, is this possible with these lights, or do I need MH lights? My tank is 48L x 21H x 12D. Thanks for any help and I'm sure I'll be asking alot more questions, just hope you can bare with me.

Ok here is another option http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=12772&cm_mmc=Shopping%20Portal-_-NexTag-_-Fish-_-Nova%20Extreme%20T-5%20Fixtures%20w/Lunar%20Lights%2048"%20-%20216%20watts&ref=3665&subref=AA

Wow 23 views and nobody can answer this question?

T5`s have more intensity than PC`s. That`s why your options should be VHO, T5`s or MH`s if you plan on corals. The higher up you go the more light intensity you have. Not all anenome`s need MH`s but some do so you`ll need to do your research up front. Also the higher up you go the more money you`ll be spending.

Is the T5 I posted OK for some med/low Corral or would I have to go MH.
Thanks for your response it was nice to finally hear from someone on this , its tough trying to decide what lighting to go with.

You should be able to go with most soft corals and LPS corals. You need to try to figure out what type you want and then get your lighting to match. There are many corals that would do good under T5`s.
