I have a FOWLR and would like to add an anemone. What and where would you recommend as a lighting fixture. I have egg crate and would like something that sets above the tank for gas exchange. I believe the depth of the tank is 20 inches or close to that and am planning on having a 4 inch sandbed (is that too deep)?
Oh yeah, I will be adding a cleaning crew once I finish replacing the CC...

Also, what do you recommend for an anemone? I would like my clown to host in it, if possible...

How much are you willing to spend? Is the 55 gallon a standard 48 inch long (I think) tank?

Metal Halide is the best option if you can swing the cost. You can get some great PC fixtures though for less light intensive species. Bubble Tips are renowned for being hardy and eas(ier) to keep than most anemones.

I'm not too worried about the money. Well, I really don't want to spend more than $200-400 if I don't have to. It is 48 inches. I was looking at BTA, still being new to the hobby, I would like to go with the more "hardy" critters vs. "prettier" ones....
I know I posted this one before, but I just wanted to doublecheck if there was possibly a compareable fixture to this one:

I was looking at the 216W one....
Thanks for the reply!!

I'm not sure how long your 55 is but if it's 48", I am looking to sell my Coralife Lunar Aqualight fixture. It's been used for about 9 months and is in near perfect condition. PM me if your interested, it would be a great light for a BTA.

It looks like this:
