Looking for some suggestions, idea's, and your experience.

I have a 60 gallon SW tank and investigating idea's for good lighting for corals. Tank is 48”L X 13”W X 24”H. The top of the tank has a divider with 2 canopies that are each ~24" long and have about 4" of width.

I've been leaning toward LED's but have read many for or against so I'm still not sure. I cannot hang anything from the ceiling to the top of the tank so whatever I would need, I would have to fit into the canopy (like the LED strips) or I would be open to buying a unit that straddles the length of the tank (or 2-24" units for each side).

I was looking to try to keep my costs around $300. I know there are some incredible systems out there $500+ but they are a bit out of my budget.

Can anyone suggest a good set-up or do I need to update my expectations for $300?

:thanks:
