Is it ok to use just water in a bubble counter for a pressurized CO2 system? Or do I need to use something else? The liquid the sites try to sell is really expensive for the amount you get. Does anyone know what that liquid is?

It's best if you use RO water (if your going to use water), but I've always just used tank water, especially if you've got soft water. You can also use glycerin, which is what I think most of those fluids actually are. Some people also use mineral oil.

I never thought about glycerine. that should be safe if it happens to siphon into the tank somehow. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.
