Marineland c220 or Rena Filstar XP1
Setting up 29 gal fresh water tank. Don't know what I will stock with yet. Any experience with either of these canister filters?

Nope but I use the Fluval 405 which is a great canister filter. I would suggest to pick one and try it. You can't go wrong with a canister filter.

I used an XP2 on my 29 and was very happy with it.
