Do you usually change both carbon filters at the same time or stage them a week apart? I've had this tank for about 6 months and have been changing them at the same time, but recently saw something saying to wait a week in between filters.

is this your only filter? if not, i would change both at the same time; if this is your only filter I would stagger changes to every other with both pad being cleaned once a month.

Agree. You want to save that beneficial bacteria.

Yes it's my only filter in a 55 gallon tank. Thanks for the advice.
