Marineland Maxi-Jet Powerhead 400

I decided to buy this 3-1 power head to aid my water chemistry and to prevent future fish disease. I just wanted to know if this is a good powerhead and do blood parrot cichlids like moving water? What else can I install to prevent disease?

I bought the same powerhead for the 3 in 1 too, put it in my new 10 gallon nano tank and now I am wishing I had gone with 1 or 2 of the hydor koralia. On the 110 powerhead mode it doesn't have enough flow, on the 500gph circulation mode it has way too much!
