Marineland Penguin 200

I ust bought this thing today for my 30g tank. It was running great for a few hours and then it stopped. I had to pull the impeller out for a bit to get it running again. Is this typical of these power filters? If it is, should I go back and exchange it for a different brand?

I had it on my old tank, it worked great. But I traded it for a fluval 305 canister. Lots More filtration. If you were going to go with a HOB, I would do an aquaclear.

Yeah theyre filters, they sit on the floor so you don't have to look at it. The only downside is, it's about 3 times more than a HOB filter. In the long run, canisters are better for tanks 30 gal and up.
