I have a 150 gallon tank with dual built-in over flows do I need two pumps for the return or can I bridge the two return pipes ro the one pump

You can "T" the return.
I don't think your pump will be enough.
I use a mag 18 on my 120 with dual overflows/returns,
and a 9.5 on my 75 with one overflow return.
I use a mag 3 on my 29.
Check out jeboa dc pumps if you are looking for a replacement.
