Does anyone know the difference between HQI and regular MH bulbs other than HQI is double ended? Also, how much light is produced in an HQI 150 w bulb. Is more light produced in a 150w HQI than a standard 175 w MH bulb?

Lastly, does anyone have the coralife Aqualight pro lighting system? If so how would you rate it?

HQI stands for High Quartz Iodide. and unlike a standard mogul base bulb they need a UV absorbing glass lens in front of them to protect your critters from the harmful UV rays. a standard halide bulb is already encased in protective glass.

I dont know but i think a 175w bulb would be a little brighter than a 150w.
