Metal halides question

I currently have a canopy with 4 VHO bulbs. Problem is the canopy is VERY slim and literally the bulbs are about 2-3 inches off the water. SO with this said, Im thinking of doing MH lights. I have a 100 gallon tank and was thinking I could take the canopy off and just mount the MH lights to suspend them over the tank..build like an arm of sorts. I know companies make these but they are to expensive in my estimation. So can someone look at this link - will these work? Anyone order from these guys? What MH lights would I need? I am totally dumb as to what the difference in on MH's...been in the hobby for 4+ years and still dont know much about them.

Could you list the dimensions of your tank, what you want to keep as far as corals go, and why you want to change? These would all help in determining the best solution for your situation.
