need a pump recommendation for a chiller

Just bought a used jbj 1/4hp chiller on eBay for an awesome price. Now I need a pump for it.
Another member here (fort384) had a brilliant idea of running the chiller through the output hose of an fluval fx5. Now that would be the easiest and cheapest way of doing it, but its kinda a "put all your eggs in one basket" idea.
I'm thinking the media will alter the flow rate and what if the filter craps out. So what would be a good pump for it, id prefer an external pump I can stick in the stand with at least an 800gph rating.

Eheim pumps are great. I run one on my calcium reactor and another on a skimmer. They are reliable, powerful, and quiet. I'm even using one as a lift pump even tho that is not the intended use and it runs just fine (just had to start a siphon first).
