I bought and installed a new protein skimmer about two months ago. I got a Bubble Magus NAC 6 designed for a tank that is 130-160
gal for my 75
gal reef tank. I've noticed that about a day after I do a water change, the skimmer will drastically over flow the skimmer cup every time. The skimmate is clear and it looks like it is just water filling up the cup. I didn't adjust the air intake or anything. In order to correct it, I have to unplug the skimmer for a few minutes then plug it in and it goes back to normal. Am I missing a step with the skimmer when I do a water change? Has anyone experienced this?
