New Coralvue chiller.

This is a 1/5 HP chiller availible soon from CoralVue retail will be somewhere between $225 and $250. It has a digital controller built into it as well. It is rated to cool up to a 150 gallon tank.

could you put two chillers like this on the same tank to max cool say 300 gallons and only spend 500 bucks as opposed to 800 i know you would need two pumps but still would be cheaper.

It might be cheaper upfront but more costly to operate. Undoubtaly the larger chiller would be more energy efficent than two smaller chillers.

So the 150 gallon rating is for a 10 degree drop? Also is this a titanium coil? Or are you waiting on these facts. I just need to drop my tank 2 degrees so I was hoping this would do the job. Thanks

It is a titanium coil. Not sure of the drop amount but i would assume 10 degrees. Also if you live in a real humid area it may be slightly less of a drop. I will probably be doing a $199 intoductory sale!!

what type of pump/flow rate does it require?

Info is a little limited right now. I think David at Coralvue wants to get them in house and test them before making any claims. I would guess for flow rate though between 300-500 GPH. I will keep all posted!
