new marineland penguin 350b

hey so today my new filter came. it is the marineland penguin 350b and its pretty good. i have it on a 36 bow with an aqueon quiet flow 30 and there is now nice water flow. the 350 is kinda loud and i had to cut the corners a little bit cause it was too big. other than that, its pretty good but should really only be used in 45+ cause it is huge to hang on.

On the top of the tank, you know the bar that goes from the front to back.... I don't know what it's called but can I cut it off because the filter is not totally in right

Sorry but was u asking a question or was u just stateing that you had to cut the center brace?

No don't cut the brace. The tank will bow and fall apart. Its there for a reason

I've got a 46 gallon bowfront and my center brace is broke, it is holding up just fine. But I will not tell you to do it.
