New tetra 55 gal tank.

I just picked up a new treys 55 gal tank. Do I need to put Styrofoam under it or is it okay as is since it had that black metal frame?

Hey man, if the stand comes with it, it is most likely ok, I would not worry too much about as the tanks that are more recent are very sturdy. If you do want to go to the extra mile you could slip under the styrofoam, but as long as the tank is fairly new, it should be all right

Cool thanks. I did not get a stand with it. Looking for something besides petco one but taking my time so as not to spend a lot. Might build my own too.

Ik you might be against this but craigslist always has very good options, my buddy always buys tanks from there and has never had a bad experience but do be careful!
