New to 125g. Do I need a wave maker?

I just upgraded a freshwater tank from a 55g to 125.

I have America cichlids.

Do I need a wave maker or current generator now that the tank is so big?

I have two fluval 306 filters, but prob need another one now.

I have about 10 fish, the largest is 5 inches.

Thanks

are you just depending on filters for water movement ? if so is it enough

ciclhids like a steady current flowing it adds oxygen to the water and creates a more natural environment , I wouldn't think you would need a wave maker but maybe a pair of power heads that can give a good stable current ,

Can you send me a link? I don't really know the difference between power heads and wave makers? Currently I depend on the filters to move the water.

the first link is to a wave maker

Aquarium Wavemakers: Hydor Koralia SmartWave Pump Controller

there are 2 types of power heads

Water Pumps & Wavemakers: Hydor Koralia Magnum Pumps

this type would work with a under gravel system

Cobalt International MJ Multi-Purpose Powerhead Pump: Aquarium Powerheads

I think I am going to go with a power head.
I have bought from this seller in the past and liked the LED lights so may try this.
