Newbie in need of advice pleas - Boy-u 60L

Hello there
I’ve found my way here - almost by a happy accident… I recently bought a Boy-u 60L tank and was dismayed to discover it has no instructions?! I’m new to keeping an aquarium and so I’m confused how to set up the filter which is inbuilt in the lid?
It has a long black tube with holes along it so am I right in thinking this lays horizontally inside the hood on top of the white sponge?
I think I need to attach the other long black tube down into the tank so it’s like a big inverted L shape overall - is this correct?
Any advice would be so very welcome! Thank you

Thats a brand ive not come across and i cant find any manuals online for your aquarium. Can you ask the store you bought it from to get hold of a manual or a manufacturers contact number to call to get one emailed to you?

However the setup you describe sounds similar to the one in this video which might give you some idea on how it all goes together.

Thank you - yes I had also found this video which was how I came to attempt the assembled - I’m going to give it a go and see how it goes but thank you so much for taking the time to reply

I have set up the aquarium and the filter unit is warm and buzzing but not drawing up water from the tank?
I have attached photos - might the filter be faulty do you think?
Any advice greatly appreciated thank you

Try filling the tank up. The pump may need to be submerged before it can start to draw water.
