Nitrates

My nitrates are Hoover above 20+, I have bio balls in my 32gallon should I take them out? I red they help keep nitrates up?

Nitrates are the waste of the BB earing nitrites which are waste from the BB eating the ammonia. You remove the nitrates woth water changes.

20+ppm for nitrates is absolutely nothing to be concerned about. your set-up is fine.
