It actually seems like a great way to do water changes. Pretty tiny though, and nothing is going to prevent anyone from having to clean the glass from time to time 
If they can scale this up somehow, it might actually be practical. Looks like they are just getting off the ground - maybe something will come of it.

Yeah we'll see. Seemed pretty good to home a betta or something but maybe it will lead somewhere.
