What size tank is it, and how far is it from the lid to the substrate surface? Generally with swords and other low-light plants, Finnex Stingrays are a good light.

You won't grow much under that light in a 2' tall tank.

It takes quite a lot of punch to get past the 18" mark, not to mention you have 18" front to back to cover as well.

Budget?

Fluval 3.0 would be “best” at covering all the bases....

2 x T5-HO but.... limited 36” bulb selection.

1 Or 2 beamswork DA-FSPEC but.... 1 may not be enough, 2 might be over kill without a DIY dimmer.

A shop light setup running 2-4 T8 bulbs could work.

I won’t recommend finnex, too many reported failures after the wimpy 1 year warranty is up.

I would look into fluval 3.0 or an odesyee T-5 setup of it were me.

Actually, amazon has some T-5 uh.... “grow” units for decent pricing as well, but you’ll have to come up with your own way to hang it.

SB reef or other “black box” LED’s would work too....

Mars Aqua 165w LED black box. ~$100 on Amazon.
I've got 2 on a 65 high, and I'm growing carpet plants on the bottom with no trouble. They're crazy bright, cheap, and you can dim them. The RGB side is a very warm light (like 6500k or something, very orange), but it still looks good.

Here's the build thread for that tank:
