Hi, I am new here and recently bought a tank (374L BULLET SHAPED FISH TANK) second hand.

Either during the transit or prior to purchase there is a small crack along the top of the tank.

My question is, will this put the tank at risk of breaking when full, is there a way to "fix" it considering its unique shape (I cannot get a single panel to replace it).

Really stuck and nervous about filling this so any help is hugely appreciated!

Im assuming the tank is acrylic?

Minor cracks can be repaired in acrylic tanks with acrylic glue. There are plenty of videos on youtube on how to do this.

Personally i wouldnt trust a repair on such a large tank. Given you are nervous i dont think its worth it.

Ooops

so after looking at some other advice on forums, I got a razor and started to scratch at it... lo and behold after a bit of persuasion it has started to come off..

I have no idea what it is, maybe silicone or a deposit of some sort, but it looks EXACTLY like a hairline crack would

I would love to do an aquascape with a sand waterfall, very ambitious, I would be happy just to have the plants survive. Will definitely post updates!

I have managed to slowly get things sorted, and this is what the early Aquascape looks like so far. Had quite a bit of die off in the first two weeks, things are a lot more stable now.
