power hed GPH help.

I read two books, and they differ on how many gallons per hour a ph should have in a 50 gal tank. So what do you say?

P.S I mean total gph I'm planning on having two power heads, possibly the rotating kind.

P.P.S Tell me if i should make this a poll.

i believe the recomendation is about 8x the tanks capacity per hour

10x to 20x tank volume per hour. So 500 to 1000 gph for a 50g tank.
