I'm looking to upgrade to a better protein skimmer and was wondreing if anybody had ideas on agood one for about $200.00 dollars,i have a 75gal sw tanl fowlr.any help would be app.

are you looking for a hang on skimmer, or something for in sump use?
if you have a sump, this should work well for you-

I'm new to this site and SW tanks and am researching skimmers. I was curious about the Turboflotor Blue 1000. I have a 55 gal.
Any advice on the skimmers would be appreciated. My tank has a wooden topper, would these hang-on or hang-in types work?

I would say if you go hob,get the 800s. I had the 300f and it worked great,except the resun king pumps were fairly loud for about 2 months, then they quitened down. What I've heard is the sicce pump is reasonably quiet and does a better job.
