Protein Skimmer Advice

I'm in the process of purchasing a protein skimmer. Today I visited my LFS and they have a Reef Octopus 8 for a really good price. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this skimmer? Thanks

i dont really know to much about that skimmer but i have just ordered a reef octopus HOB skimmer after researching they seem the best bang for your buck

The octopus skimmers have great reviews and are good skimmers. You probably will find it cheaper online though so you might wanna do a quick search and see.

@Carey yea I did a quick research and my LFS is giving it to me about $60 cheaper... It's a deal!
