protein skimmer break in?..

I just got a protien skimmer and im wondering how long it takes to break it in Also, how do u know when the skimmer is alreay "breaked it"?...i have a coralife super skimmer 65

Skimmers take from a week to 2 weeks in my experience to break in. On that skimmer though you will have a tough time getting it dialed in correctly. You'll need some patience to get it right so don't get discouraged.

Ohhhh ok.... and how will i know when its ready?..

The bubbles will actually make it to the top of the neck and slightly, just slightly overflow into the cup. You will be able to adjust the water level in the neck much easier as well. Pretty much you'll know it when ya see it! LOL

Nicee.. cool thanks.. my bubles are currently at thw bottom of the neck...

Adjust the bubbles until they are about half way up the neck. You will probably have to turn it down later when it starts to produce more skimate.
