Pump problems.

I just got a hydor koralia in my 8 gallon and it keeps blowing the sand around way too much. I try to move the rock so that it doesn't push it around so much but that makes for bad looking rock structures. What can I do to solve this problem?

You could try pointing it towards the surface or towards the glass if that doesn't work a smaller pump may be the only option
Had this problem on my freshwater chiclid tank pointing it up and across the middle of my 75 gal fixed it for the most part still have to move the sand a bit about every 2 months

My filter used to do that but I put chinese evergreen cuttings in it and their roots forced the water to flow out from multiple points (though the water is still well filtered).
