pump question

I am setting up a refugium and want to know what size pump I need to send water from a wet/dry to the refugium. My return pump is a Rio 1700. Thanks for any help.

If you can have the over flow drain into the refugium. The refugium drain into the sump.

You don't want unfiltered water going directly to the refugium. If you have enough flow you can tee off the main return to the refugium and have it gravity-feed back to the sump/return?

The sump and refug are on the same level. they are under the tank, its a 55g.
