I need some advice on what kind of pump to buy that would allow me to fill up and do water changes on a marine FOWLR 120G from my basement resevoir to my upstairs tank traveling approximately 75 feet in length and approximately 8 feet vertical. I was considering a Mag 18 to do the job.

You'll need a high pressure pump. You have 8 feet of head without taking into account the flow resistance of 75 feet of tubing. I'd probably look at a pump that's rated for a decent flowrate with at least 16 feet of head pressure.

Look for a pump like the jackhammer... There's another one I'm thinking of but I can't remember the freaking name. Check marinedepot.com because they have great prices on pumps. They usually have discounts regularly too...
