That is cool. The 4 dollar adapter is the exact same thing as the python, only blue. I will pick on up tonight whan I go to walmart, this way I can have one downstairs and one upstairs.
I only use my python to vac and drain a tank during pwc's. I do not fill with it because my tap water has chlorine and I use ro water for my sw tank. I extended my python with a cheap garden hose because of this reason. You could go to any hardware store and get some vinyl tubing, 1/2 inch I think, with some hose repair fittings to make a aquarium safe extension.
