Question about Remora Intake

I have the Remora Pro with the Mag Drive 3 set up on my 55 gallon. My question is about the pipe that connects the pump to the skimmer. It's really short and it's kind of an eyesore staring at the big block pump hanging in the corner. Would I be able to replace the flex pipe with a longer pipe so I can hide the pump behind my rock without losing out on pressure going into the skimmer. I would have to make the pipe about a foot longer. Any suggestions or ideas would be great.

Nobody has an opinion on this. Guess I'll just have to try it and find out for everyone.

I didn't like the pump hanging in my tank so i bought the skimmer box that they sell for the remora. It's black and blended right into the back of my tank. Plus it stopped me from getting micro bubbles in the tank.
