Question for all you Rena filstar xP users

Does anyone use the Nitra Zorb pouch in place of the carbon? I was thinking that this may be a useful way to help keep the nitrates down as long as it didn't filter out my cichlid additives like carbon would.

I don't use it, as my tanks are planted. I need the extra nitrates in my tanks.

My tank isn't planted so I think it may be of benefit....do you think I would have an issue with it filtering out additives?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you'd have any problems. But let's see if anyone else knows for sure.
