Recharging purigen

Am I the only person who ever ruined a brand new bag of purigen by using the wrong dechlorinator?

When I started out I was using a fairly cheap water conditioner which turned out to be not so cheap once it ruined my $21 baggie of purigen!

Turns out some conditioners have a particular ingredient that stops it being rechargeable. I can't remember what it is, but they don't list the ingredients anyway so its a gamble.

I learnt two things from that experience- stick with seachem products only, and buy them online!!!

Lol.
